School Coach Hire in Kent, London & Essex

Brian Jones Bus & Coach Hire provides school coach hire and school bus hire across Kent, London and Essex for schools, colleges, academies and educational organisations.

Established in 1970 and based in Gravesend, we provide organised group transport for school trips, educational visits, sports fixtures, swimming journeys, theatre trips, residential visits, regular school contracts and other school travel requirements.

Our location in North Kent allows us to regularly provide school transport throughout Gravesend, Dartford, Maidstone, Medway and the surrounding areas, as well as journeys into Greater London and Essex.

Whether you require transport for a single class or several year groups travelling together, our varied fleet gives schools a choice of vehicles suitable for different passenger numbers.

Schools can choose from our 32-seat midi coach, full-size coaches and high-capacity double-decker buses.

School Coach Hire in London

Our services are not limited to Kent.

Brian Jones Bus & Coach Hire also provides school coach hire in London, supporting schools and educational groups travelling within Greater London or between London and Kent.

Our vehicles are suitable for educational visits into Central London, museums, theatres, sporting venues, universities and other destinations throughout the capital.

Schools requiring transport within the capital can also view our London coach hire services.

Because our fleet is ULEZ compliant, our vehicles can operate within London's Ultra Low Emission Zone without schools needing to arrange separate transport for journeys into the capital.

School Bus Hire for Large Groups

One of the advantages of using Brian Jones Bus & Coach Hire is our ability to transport larger school groups in fewer vehicles.

Our double-decker bus hire service is particularly useful for schools transporting large numbers of pupils.

Our double-decker buses offer high passenger capacity and are fitted with seatbelts, making them suitable for many school journeys where transporting several classes together is more practical than hiring multiple smaller vehicles.

For groups that require a conventional coach, our coach fleet includes vehicles suitable for larger groups, while our 32-seat midi coach provides an alternative for smaller classes and groups.

This range allows schools to choose a vehicle based on the actual number of passengers rather than automatically booking several smaller vehicles.

School Trip Coach Hire

School trips can involve much more than simply collecting pupils from school and driving to a destination.

Timing, safe boarding arrangements, passenger numbers, luggage and the type of destination all need to be considered when organising transport.

We provide school trip coach hire throughout Kent, London and Essex, including journeys to destinations across the UK.

Schools regularly use coach and bus hire for visits to museums, historical attractions, theatres, theme parks, zoos, sporting venues, activity centres, universities and residential centres.

For longer journeys, a coach allows pupils, teachers and accompanying adults to travel together from the school directly to their destination.

Enhanced DBS-Checked Drivers

School transport requires appropriate safeguards.

Drivers undertaking school transport for Brian Jones Bus & Coach Hire are Enhanced DBS checked, helping schools meet their safeguarding requirements when arranging external transport.

Our drivers are experienced in transporting school groups and understand the importance of punctual collections, organised boarding and safe operation throughout the journey.

Seatbelts on School Coaches and Buses

Our coaches and double-decker buses used for school transport are fitted with seatbelts.

Vehicle allocation is based on passenger numbers, journey requirements and availability, allowing us to provide an appropriate coach or bus for each school booking.

Schools can discuss passenger numbers and any specific requirements with our team when requesting a quotation.

32-Seat Midi Coach Hire for Schools

Not every school trip requires a full-size coach.

Our 32-seat midi coach hire service is well suited to smaller classes, educational groups and school staff journeys.

It provides schools with a practical option where passenger numbers are too high for small minibus transport but do not justify hiring one of our largest vehicles.

For larger groups, our full-size coaches and double-decker buses provide additional capacity.

Coach Hire for School Sports

We also provide school coach hire for sports fixtures, tournaments and competitions.

Transport can be arranged for school football, rugby, athletics, swimming and other sporting activities throughout Kent, London and further afield.

Larger coaches can also provide useful additional space where pupils are travelling with sports bags or equipment.

Regular School Bus and Coach Contracts

In addition to one-off school trips, Brian Jones Bus & Coach Hire provides transport for regular school contracts and recurring school journeys.

This can include daily or scheduled school transport, sports movements, swimming journeys and other repeated educational transport requirements.

Schools requiring an ongoing service can contact us to discuss journey schedules, passenger numbers and suitable vehicle options.

School Airport Transfers

We can also provide transport for schools travelling to and from airports for overseas educational visits and school tours.

Our airport transfer coach hire service covers major airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City Airport.

Using one coach for pupils, teachers and luggage can make airport departures easier to organise than arranging several smaller vehicles.
